Founded in 1920, the University of St. Francis is a four-year institution offering undergraduate and graduate programs. The University serves some 1,000 students at its main campus in Joliet, Illinois, and more than 3,000 students at off-campus sites throughout the country. The University of St. Francis is a career-oriented University of liberal arts and sciences. Twenty-four undergraduate programs of study are offered as well as five graduate programs and an Evening/Weekend University for adult learners. Two of the University's programs are designed for health care professionals and are offered at sites throughout the nation: the bachelor of science in Health Arts Program and the master of science in Health Services Administration. Although the University seeks to prepare both men and women for selected careers, liberal arts is the basis for all academic programs.
