Founded in 1937 by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi, Cardinal Stritch University is the largest Franciscan institution of higher education in North America. Stritch provides value-centered graduate and undergraduate education to a diverse population of more than 6,800 men and women of all faiths and ages in four colleges: Arts and Sciences, Education and Leadership, Business and Management, and the Ruth S. Coleman College of Nursing.

With additional sites and classroom locations in Milwaukee, Madison, and the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, the University has gained recognition as a pioneer in the areas of special education, literacy, nursing, and business; and is quickly becoming a leader in the areas of lay ministry formation and leadership development.
