Franciscan School of Theology

We are a Roman Catholic seminary and graduate theological school that prepares women and men for professional ministry in the Church and for careers in theological education. We also welcome people of all nations, lay and religious, on sabbatical or wishing to enhance their knowledge of Christian faith and the practice of ministry. We are a member school of the Graduate Theological Union, an ecumenical consortium of nine schools in Berkeley, California, which fosters academic rigor and theological creativity. We embody the Franciscan vision of Christ that invites all people into relationships based on equality and respect for one another and for all creation.
